The Stratford Amateur Radio Club {SARC} has a long history. The club was formed over 60 years ago with the belief of providing service to the local community and enhancing amateur radio. Today, this belief continues. The club maintains a fully operational station with equipment for the HF and VHF bands. In preparation for emergencies, the club participates in the annual ARRL Field Day Event. Additionally, the club keeps its operational skills honed by planning, scheduling and implementing several on~air Special Events per year
The club membership roster is a make up of various ham radio interests. The range of interests include HF, VHF, UHF, Digital, Antenna experimentation, Lowfer band operation as well as other areas. We run a DSTAR Hotspot (K1TMW on 145.570 that is usually linked to 69C).
Membership in the SARC is open to all that exhibit an interest in amateur radio. Being a licensed amateur is not required.
